Join us in supporting Salem County Veterans through community-driven suicide prevention initiatives, fostering resilience, connection, and hope for a brighter future.

Volunteer Spotlight

None of the work we do at Together With Veterans would be possible without the help, skills, and passion of the volunteers behind this initiative. Today, we’d like to introduce you to just a few of these dedicated leaders and share why TWV is so meaningful—both personally and for our Veteran community as a whole.
“Together, we are not only raising awareness but also empowering individuals to recognize the signs of distress and to provide the vital support and guidance that our heroes so desperately need… Each action we take, every conversation we have, and every individual we reach out to has the potential to make a profound difference in someone’s life. Through our collaboration, we are truly making a meaningful impact and upholding our shared commitment to serving those who have served us.”
Chuck Miller, Salem County Sheriff
“To our Veterans, we owe a debt of gratitude… At times, there are Veterans who need more support and assistance than is normally available. That’s where Together With Veterans plays a key role—providing tools and guidance that help our heroes find the support they need and deserve.”
Michael R. Gorman, Ed.D., President, Salem Community College

Breakfast Is Better When It’s Together With Veterans

At the end of the day, there’s no replacement for human connection and camaraderie—that’s why on the second Wednesday of every month, we invite local Veterans to gather for free bagels, donuts, coffee, fruit salads, breakfast sandwiches, conversation, and a guest speaker.
From police K-9 demonstrations to resource discussions, these breakfasts provide friendship, connection, and consistent support for our rural Veterans.
